Obviously, I don't know the street grid around you or how accessible "high ground" is around you, but to me, leaving in the next few hours sounds like a terrible idea. The attic (assuming y'all have tools to cut an escape hatch, if necessary) is a much better option than driving into flooded streets during the middle of a hurricane.
