NHC doesn't expect any storm surge in your area, FWIW. Winds should be manageable too. Severe storms/tornadoes will be a threat in pretty much all of Florida though.

I was just taking a glance at Jose and that one could possibly be a threat to Gulf too. Obviously still too early but they have it doing a loop all the way around and possibly heading west. That would suck. Seems some models have it doing another loop which would be ideal.

They talk about how deep the water is, and then they see a weather channel SUV driving through the bumper high water. They talk about how he's alone, driving in this horrible weather (
), and looking at his phone and how if he'd get stuck, he'd have a hard time getting it out.

But this sort of stupidity and grand-standing isn't something new: Why use a canoe when you can walk?
