The FPC camera is operated remotely. It's possible the flag got in such bad shape, they decided not to show it anymore.

I assumed it was remote. They were panning it around the platform earlier. But it's now pointed directly into the wind so it could have weathervaned.

Had a very smooth flight down to Tampa, saw what I'd assume might be outer bands from the storm? I'll let the meteorologists here decide based on pics below. First four would've been over Virginia or North Carolina









Somewhere over south carolina, looked like a nice day!

Right now the models are not doing much with it, but 7+ days out intensity forecasts are unreliable.

The camera angle just moved. Flag is back in the shot.
