Her eye is contracting too. Maybe shes trying to take advantage of the gulf stream underneath her. Assuming she keeps going W/WSW, this would be her last chance to try and rebuild her structure.

If she stalls out here I have no idea what that means in terms of strength.

Meanwhile...the latest Euro takes what is left of Isaac into the SE Gulf in a week and moves it into SW LA in 10 days.

It's unlikely to get any stronger at this point. A stall here keeps most of the rain offshore, so it's better than stalling at the coast.
