LINK ... 7dffe69a21 Impact...At 22.4 feet...12 miles of Highway 53 are underwater,in some cases 7 feet deep, between the Northeast Cape Fear bridge and Maple Hill. All homes including 60 in River Bend, 20 to 25 in River Birch and 12 in the Alligator Lake subdivision are flooded. 20 to 30 homes in Holly Shelter estates are underwater. In the Sandy Bend subdivision, off Shaw Highway, 40 to 50 homes, which is half of the homes in the subdivision sustain flooding. Portions of Croomsbridge, Island Creek and White Stocking Roads are underwater
To the O-tards saying ohhh this aint gonna be shite now.

These houses don't have breakaway walls? Surprised the insurance companies don't require that

I'd figure any house near the Gulf or Atlantic coasts would have those breakaway floors just for this reason
I guess that's still considered "flooded" even though it's designed to fail on purpose

It was always going to be a shite show for that low lying area. The surge will still suck on the coast. Inland won’t be as bad as feared.

Looks like the flag at Frying Pan is blowing in a different direction now at least at times.

Fox 5 Atlanta has a live look at the Atlanta Beach, NC pier. It won't last long.

Its a shitty feeling when your choice is between escaping to an attic without exit or go into 70+ mph winds because water is rising in your house.
This is why you gtfo beforehand.
