There are none. Nothing on FB, Twitter or IG. Just like Katrina with people posting on all saying they haven’t heard from relatives since eye and looking for info. There have been some confirmed survivors but majority listed from higher areas. I’m afraid there is total devastation in parts of the islands.

Nobody’s ever gonna come out and say, “Ok, it’s time to panic”. You gotta decide these things for yourself.

Miami ABC local weather > Diane Deaton
She could be Diane Deaton’s great granddaughter. That’s not really a fair comparison.

If Jim Cantore shows up in your town, it’s time to panic

How can it get the clouds if it’s dark?

Needs to make that turn and in a hurry

You look at that and we know how bad that was. Parts of Mississippi just wiped off the map. New Orleans flooded and devastated. Then you realize that Dorian is steadily blowing 45 mph higher than Katrina's gusts when she made landfall and Dorian's gusts are just about twice Katrina's sustained winds.
And it's over people right now, with the truly geographically unlucky having endured it for hours with no respite and no end in sight because of the storm's speed. And it's dark.

Years ago I was up early AM on July 4 in Alabama. i turned on the Local on the 8's and someone had typed in the current conditions were "Heavy snow with thunder". Needless to say, I didn't remotely believe it since it was going to be another 95 degree day that day. As it is with every July 4th around here.

It'd be amazing if the eyewall never touches the US mainland.

Not necessarily.
