I'm Huntsville-adjacent, and even I'm getting tired of your incessant felatio of the damn city.

I kind of like it. His reputation on the board, plus the pimping, means there are at least a few people who will decide, "frick that place" and never think about coming here.

We gotta improve infrastructure in the Huntsville-Athens-Decatur triangle before I'm willing to be happy about transplant growth.

Everyone else can just move to Jackson County.

Good luck with that. When you have 3 different cities and land from 3 different counties managed by one of the other cities, even road commissioners aren't sure who owns what.
Add to that the fact that Limestone County has essentially said, "frick it, we ain't fixing shite!" and it gets even nuttier.

Gotta love annexation.

One of the prettiest places in the whole state, if you ask me. It is just a little...underdeveloped.

For him not caring at all what they think, that's an awful lot of attention.

Limestone County is a complete joke. They refused to pay towards Madison City Schools although residents in their county attend MCS. They had to be sued and lose in order for them to pony up their share.

I like Huntsville. It's definitely on the rise.

Well, you are the expert. So, you're right.

Edit: I can't just let you go on believing you're an expert.

Is this kind of like when Decatur City wanted to put in a development with a Bass Pro Shop and they demanded that Limestone County curb and gutter it, run power and water, and handle waste disposal, and demanded that Limestone County then forfeit their sales tax claim to the development?
And that's not even getting into the land deal that Decatur's brilliant city leaders entered into with a private land owner.

Or is it like Madison County or Huntsville City annexing large areas and then refusing to keep up roads all the while starting multiple "improvement projects" and running over budget and past deadlines on every one of them, but starting more in the same area just to dicker traffic even more? Meanwhile, roads that continue to see more and more traffic keep getting worse and worse.

Places like that are going to explode after all of this shite.

People are really souring on urban center living I think.

Nah. The thing is, there aren't too many places like that. No matter how you slice it, the majority of (good) jobs and businesses are located in cities.

Sure, you'll catch a unique place like Huntsville, Chattanooga, or Greenville here and there, but the fact that remains is that the vast bulk of jobs are located in America's urban areas.

I’m talking about remote working. The burbs are about to blow up because so many people will work from home permanently or more often and need more space.

And some of those permanent remote jobs will allow people to move wherever. I work in a corporate environment and I know one guy moving to 30A to work full time remote to Nashville.

Corporate office spaces will never be the same. This has forced a change.

It's a clusterfrick and only going to continue to get worse. Huntsville has the Birmingham traffic with frick all to do.

Lol no. Not even close. I love when people complain about the “traffic.” It’s clear they’ve never been to a big city before. Spend a week in BatonRouge and let me know about traffic.

Uh, yeah. I'm familiar with traffic. 565 is an unmitigated disaster daily.
