Expected a bad joke or pun then expected a goring. I don’t know what’s going on anymore.

Why did the deer let him? Is it his pet?

that's what deer are normally like, unless they're cornered, maimed, fighting for doe pussy, and/or fighting for their lives

Oh. I thought they ran away every time.

Seems like they’d be easy to hunt if that’s what they do.

Anyone else disappointed the deer didn’t spear him with his antlers or the hunter didn’t pull out a knife to kill the deer?

Eh I’m probably just fricking weird.

That hasn't been my experience. They run like hell at the sight of a human. In fact we rarely see them unless on a stand, quiet.

That’s what I always thought too, but I’m not a hunter. Then again, I often see them on the side of the interstate hanging out, unconcerned with the loud cars and trucks.

Basically every doe and fawn where I hunt is tame as hell. Anything with a decent rack takes off if it sees us. But I hunt public land. I know some people who hunt ranches and they basically get to pick their buck.

It's almost like they instinctively know when it's hunting season.
