Holy damn.
Just got back from Hoover Al. We had 2 yesterday within about 5 miles from us. Sirens went off and we barely had time to take shelter.
Scary stuff.

we did so many damn drills in school I barely bat an eye when the sirens go off. I only start to panic when it gets quiet

I live in Rockwall also. It's pretty chaotic in Rowlett still. Both bridges across the lake shut down for westbound traffic.
The fatalities in Garland are from cars that were tossed off an overpass. For anyone that's driven I-30 through there before, that happened just west of the Bass Pro on the west side of the lake.
Rowlett is a mess though.

I have close family friends who live right next to 66 and Dalrock. Heard that was the disaster zone

Yea. That's pretty much ground zero I think. Lake Pointe hospital there is damaged also, or so I've been told.

Garland has the most fatalities, but that was on I-30. And Garland is pretty damn big, so it's likely. Rowlett is the worst I've seen, buts it's basically surrounded by Garland, so I'm sure Garland is bad also.

Here's hoping all turned out OK for your family and their friends and neighbors...
Those were some big storms.

We had a small EF-0 tornado touch down in WV a few days ago. I couldnt imagine seeing or being in the path of one of the behemoths like the ones in TX tonight. Scary stuff.

Just got home from work. Weather was gnarly tonight. Haven't even gone through this thread yet,.. but happy where I'm at we have 2 floors underground avail just in case. Saddest were the ones blown off the road... They had zero chance.
