The Dallas station I am watching said it was a wedge. Did anyone catch it as a wedge? Looks like a strong 3 to a 4 in the pics I've seen.

All was quiet to the West of the metroplex. Just some heavy rain, but not much.

When people are in their pools on Christmas Day and the day after it is not gonna end well. When you have the unnatural heat we have had for this time of year in the gulf states, it is not going to go well when there comes an Arctic blast.

I live in Rockwall and we are fine--five miles west, not so much. Huge tornado here.

They say that the way to spot a 5 is that it cleans up after itself.
So, I've not seen those images, but based on what you're saying, you may be right.
It's starting to look like a solid 4 at least.

No it won't

Not necessarily. The newer rating scale for tornadoes accounts for structural integrity. While the tornado left nothing but slab it could be those building were poorly built. I haven't seen footage of the damage but it will be an EF-3 for sure, probably an EF-4.

Tornado passed a half a mile from my parents house near Lakeview Centennial. Luckily they got away with no damage. Scary to see...

If it is cleaning slabs it's gonna be a strong 4 bordering on a 5 if not a 5. 3's don't clear slabs.

Wow...is Texas out of the woods with this storm system yet?

Looks like no more tornadic stuff. But heavy rains moving in now from the cold front.
