I'd tell her it's inappropriate in the most lighthearted way possible, and make sure either me or the child's mother were present at every team function (probably would be doing this anyway). Also keep an ear out for my daughter using off color phrases like this in case the coach actually says stuff like this around the kid (doesn't sound likely).

I would also share pics of the coach with the OT so we could give you even better advice.

I'm not in an uproar. I think it's stupid and trashy on her part. I'm not losing sleep over it though. The reaction of virtually all the moms though is a bit more severe.

how is that even possible for 6 year olds? They arent shooting 3 pointers and I doubt if they can only score 6 point, they arent shooting free throws either.

Do they only count by 1's instead of 2's?

Do you even wonder, bro?
meh. If the OP asked me
"How would you react if the coach of your 6 year old said blah blah blah in front of the kids"

Then my response would have been differnt. But as we have it, that isn't what the OP asked.

I post shite on facebook all the time that I wouldn't say in front of my kids. Some people are capable of that.

That is pretty bad. Does the coach even know what that means?

Yeah….this.

"Daddy, Coach wants us to come over and bump clams after practice" would certainly be a red flag...

This is my first experience with 6&7 yr old basketball but from what I've seen, they're very low scoring events. The scores are tallied the same as regular basketball. As for this game, we made 3 baskets for a total of 6 points. The other team made 2 baskets and 1 free trow for their total of 5 points.

At least 6 year Olds aren't on fb

My son is doing an acting duet for debate class. He's 15. The script used God's name in vain, he says screw it and orders a beer. Not that he's never heard me order a beer. But I don't allow him to use God's name in vain, say screw it or order beer. I find it inappropriate for a 15 year old. But I've always been a little overprotective so I'm trying to let it go

She might not have meant anything dirty by it, but it's a poor choice of wording IMO.

That saying can be used in a non sexual way, but its roots are in a sexual act. In today's world, you should keep like kind of stuff separate from anything involving children.

1. Agree totally inappropriate, but the lady is neither a professional mom nor a professional coach, so if you don't want her around your kid, move them elsewhere. There's tons of girls teams around.

2. The fact that anyone gives a crud about what the record is for 6 year olds playing any sport tells me that you are in for a rough future.

Let kids be kids.

Poor choice of words and I'm sure it was an innocent mistake. I would be more upset that someone was posting a video of my daughter on FB without my permission.
