The reaction of virtually all the moms though is a bit more severe.

Good. That means you don't have to react.

Not saying that smartasstically. You can sit back and watch them rain down the hellfire.

I'd be more pissed about having a coach of a 6/7 yo basketball team who is more concerned with "winning" than equal playing time.

You coach kids that age because you know that winning is reflected in their smiles--not the scoreboard.

At that age, you would like to win the game, but its more important not to lose the kids.

I don't think it's appropriate. But I've seen worse.

And 6 year olds should not be on Facebook, so, I'm not sure who can get offended.

That's pretty much what I'm doing here.

You're exactly right.

Bingo

I've always said let winning and losing take care of itself. I'm more concerned with the kids having fun and learning how to play the game the right way.

She's obviously incapable of thinking before speaking...or posting, and I wouldn't want my 6 year old daughter around her.

Can you imagine what the reaction would be if the coach were one of the dads?!?!?

Is it possible in this day and age that there are people who associate the phrase "popped your cherry" with getting that first win and have no idea that its original meaning was to lose one's virginity (if that was even the original meaning)?

Meh. I've heard that saying used in many contexts that weren't sexual. Just means to do something for the first time.
