The only thing that has ever slowed us down are houses in the ghetto with bars on doors and windows. We have to get out the reciprocating saw or corded drill for those.

Also, if you live in a spec house with cheap builder grade Kwikset style locks I can be in your house in 30 seconds tops with my bump keys.

I can be in your house in less than five seconds...with only a shoulder.

Sorry, thought we were picking useless shite to brag about.

You and Huey Lewis would make two ballsy home invaders.

Like any invasion - it is the unexpected that wins the day. Everyone is expecting you to try to break in the door - the door is for the use of people with keys to the thing and use that in their ordinary course of action.

I mean, the Allies didn't enter France at the Port of Calais in June 1944 - for good damned reason.

Forgot about this thread, but this is how to keep someone from breaking in through your doors and windows:

Prevent brute force attacks, get locks that can't be bumped, get an alarm system with backup GSM dialing, get a camera system with backup power, get guard dog(s). I haven't been able to think of anything else so far.

I used to order shims that were effective for many padlocks. It was no big deal to order them them online along with waterproof fuse, books on improvised fireworks, etc. but I wouldn't dare do that nowadays.
