It took a very long time for anything to get started. The state always has money. They just spend it on other stupid shite

Like SWB’s proposal to spend between $40-$50 million on a bus route connecting Plank Rd to LSU.

I'm not sure but I thought Charles was a traffic engineer or something along those lines. He had a great deal of knowledge on a topic many years ago. He's been a long time poster and generally has good information.

Didn't the feds refuse to give interstate money, because the state was too corrupt? I think that happened earlier this year

I don't understand why this is so expensive. These are the higher speed buses, so they require their own lanes. In theory they'll need 5-6 new buses.

But aren't the new lanes for these things going to be built using the sales tax revenue they just passed?

I don't see a real demand for this unless it comes it after the Plank road corridor is sufficiently gentrified.
That could be 10-20 years away.

I believe the Plank Road Express involves dedicated platforms with covers etc.

But I haven't seen anything that spells out the plan.

It would seem the press would ask for more details.

Im sure it will be used to fund an overseas trip for the Gov and legislators to see how they build levees all across Europe.
