Or... maybe don't try to have important, nuanced conversations via text?

Some people seem to think it's the only form of communication.

I just don’t get why the younger woke crowd gets off by being spineless pussies.

It seems to me for functioning society to actually survive, at some point we have to stop pretending that shite like this is REAL, right?

the thumbs up emoji is probably my most used emoji. When they created the ability to like messages on iMessage and FB messenger, it was a game changer. I didn't even have to reply anymore, just like the message (which also gives a little thumbs up).

While, I agree, and would never use emojis in work related communications,

I gave up on that battle 15 years ago. The first time a young worker responded to my email with a smiley, I had a conversation with him about how unprofessional that was in a business setting. Then client after client began emailing us with smileys and I just said, "frick it."

I'll admit that I developed a disdain for the thumbs up from texting with a girl. Nothing worse than trying to be communicative and having a healthy expression of feelings and getting back a

So, for that reason, I too don't particularly care for it. It seems to be at best lazy, and at worst, avoidant response with people I have more than acquaintance relationships with. But...I'm also not a bitch who will force others to not use it or complain about it on Reddit to the point of getting an article written about it.

If a society abides by falsehood and political correctness it is destined to fail. Because PC is based in fantasy land not reality. If you don’t use facts and reason to make policy you are no different than a tribe of chimps.

I'm sure she sends Skype messages that say "lol" or "k" or "pls" or "thx". These people are worthless.

I have read your message and I have nothing to add to the conversation, but, I want you to know that your communication has been studied and digested and not just casually perused as the "message read" icon may imply.

Or I can just give you a fricking , which is the same fricking thing.
