I don’t think the aerator would cause water in your yard. Any trees around where your tail line goes? It might be about to back up in your house. Are you toilets flushing normally?

You should get used to the smell after a few days.

I’m tapping out and heading to a hotel for the night.

Yes they is a tree by the end of the fill line. There are also some kind of shrub right by the septic tank. The is something else that was also broken and replaced today. The toilets are working fine. However it’s a 40 year old system and I negotiated replacing it into the cost of the property. I am fully expecting this thing to be an expensive fix. I was not expecting my house to become a toxic cesspool.

Does the ice maker drain have a p trap? Make sure all p traps in the house have water in them. Run water in all the sinks and tubs and stuff for a minute. P traps prevent sewer gas from backing into the house. P traps can dry up if a drain isn't used for awhile too.

It does and it is trapped now. My plumber came back out and helped me find and fix the leak. He’s coming back tomorrow to test the fill line or something like that.

That sewage smell is going to seep into all your clothes and skin. After a while, you'll develop scent fatigue to it, but out in public, everyone will come to refer to you as The Doo Doo Man.

Likely Sweet Olive
That is a tradition from the old days to cover the stench of the old simple septic tanks.

Unknown to anyone the drain pipe from the icemaker was uncapped and open.

That doesn't run to a drain that has a pee trap? What the hell kind of house do you live in?

I would imagine you’re going to have to lose a lot of stuff and repaint.

It has a P trap but the water had evaporated out of the trap since the ice maker had been removed and the water cutoff. It wasn’t a problem until the new aerator was installed today.

Rent an ozone generator and stay in a hotel room overnight.

What hotel is going to rent a room to a stinky man? Looks like the nearest homeless encampment is OP's best bet.
