Fed ex has broken beer. I’ve checked beer dozens of times and never lost one yet.
I just wrap in bubble wrap or a t shirt and tape it. The less room the stuff has to move, the better.
My bag has been searched several times (especially when I have like 6 bombers in a roll aboard size bag) lol. No issues.

Just wrap each bottle individually. First in a ziplock bag, then use your clothes to provide extra cushion.
