How can I fix this ear infection without having to go to the doctor? Don’t feel like driving there and waiting. Any over the counter stuff or home remedies y’all know of?

Best to go get the drops to speed it up.

Otherwise, heating pad for the pain and wait the three days.

My g/f had one last weekend. She went to the clinic and got a steroid shot and took antibiotics, and it cleared up right away.

My ear started bothering me a few days later. I poured hydrogen peroxide in my ear and let it bubble for a couple of minutes. My ear stopped hurting shortly afterward.

I could be offering really bad advice, so take it for what it is worth. I am not a doctor and don't play one on TV.

Go to the doctor. The last thing you want is for it to lead to mastoiditis.

Are you 6 years old? Adults don’t get ear infections

Some ear infections won't respond to oral antibiotics because they simply won't make it to the area, which is another reason it's best to get checked out.

Adults can and do get ear infections. My husband and I both got really bad bilateral ear infections when we did our scuba certifications years ago.

Very painful and both of us on a few meds (antibiotic ear drops, oral meds) to treat them.

Don't treat it yourself. Treatment totally depends on where the infection is. If you truly have an infection home remedies are ineffective. Ear infections can be really painful...certainly worth the wait to get proper treatment. Good luck.

You should ask Pecker for advice on how to clean up every day. These things don’t happen to people with good personal hygiene

As someone who has struggled with getting ear infections frequently (particularly Swimmer’s Ear during the summer), I would just go to the doctor if at all possible. Nothing you can do at home can match what anti-biotic ear drops can do for you (assuming it’s an outer ear infection).

Many years ago in Jr high we had a black teacher that would blow smoke in someone's ear with an ear infection. He was a very good man and would whip the shite out of a student with a wooden paddle with holes in it when needed. This is when teachers were actually able to teach life lessons.

Most urgent cares now have an option to register online. Some even are able to give you an approx time you will be seen...so you don't have to spend all that time in the waiting room waiting.

Give that a try. If it was me...I would be looking for an urgent care open today. Ear infections are painful.

Age isnt a factor determining that you act like a child either.

You need to get off of WebMD.

Another key recommendation, according to Smouha, is that cheaper antibacterial agents such as 2 percent acetic acid, and more expensive antimicrobial drops such as Ciprodex, seem to work equally well against swimmer's ear.

So putting acid in your ear works just as well as an ear drop that has an antibiotic and steroid in it?

Go to a doc in a box walk in clinic. You don't want to wait too long and risk your hearing on something that can be easily be cured.
