OP knows he is in the wrong, but is hoping OT will provide him some thought loophole so that he can get over on the store for his own mistake.

Yeah I don't know what mental gymnastics could get him to that point.... he pulled off onto i20 with a load on his truck. He fricked up

Once you pulled off it's your problem.
If it would've killed somebody do you think the MSP would ticket some crackheads that load furniture for a living for it or you?

Good point. He is very lucky he didn't hurt anyone

Still looks comfy. Just duct tape it up.

It's all good. I saw furniture that looked like that in almost every home when I lived in MS.

The thought process in head of OP is easy to follow. The store employees provided a service of loading and securing the load. The act that ensued should compel the store to honor the original condition of the set.
Problem is that store only provided labor and consultation on securing. It was utilmate responsibility of client to ensure security of the load prior to leaving premises.

You are fricked, should have had it delivered.

Return the furniture, then dispute the charge.
If you didn't pay with a credit card, kick yourself for being an idiot while sitting in your broken chair.

Auburn MS had some nice chairs and deer hunting

Dude even claims that he one-overed the bang-up tie down job before high tailing it off on the interstate.
Only negligence I see is on him.

That's considered a king's throne at a deer camp.

Sue them! There're hundreds of brand new lawyers with no job prospects who'll take your case.

Too bad you're not in Louisiana. You could've hired one of those newly minted Morris Barts to handle your $300 lazy boy case.
