Because it's an act of war, and it's definitely disproportionate to what they did. Plus it would discourage anyone else from buying US debt.
We should put tariffs on Chinese goods such that American companies are motivated to build manufacturing facilities here. It needs to be a long term bipartisan policy like the cold war was.

I don't think there is much you can do. Sure it would be great if we could say "Hey! Tighten up on your health restrictions!" IF they would do it, great, but we all know they won't change anything. You can write up the most stringent rules in the world but it is only as good as your enforcement and in those backwards arse "do anything for a nickel" countries, they aren't changing anything that costs anything.

I would also add, that we immediately implement policies to require that all health care supplies and pharmaceuticals are made in the U.S.A. Never again should another nation be able to hold us hostage.
