I saw a chart showing that America is one of the safest countries in the world without these cities and I can't find the chart. Anyone have that handy?

You’re basically asking how safe would America be without a certain demographic of people.

I don't believe that map if it doesn't include Jackson, MS... if the locals don't get you the damn water will kill you.

Wait, Anchorage, Alaska is more dangerous than NOLA?

Maybe for slips and falls do to ice...

What is this cherry picked bullshite?

From the same source:

quote:

America’s 10 most dangerous cities for families
In our analysis of over 430 cities, these 10 cities had the highest rates for violent crime, property crime, and sex offenders.

1 St Louis
2 Memphis
3 Richmond
4 Kalamazoo
5 Salt Lake City
6 Detroit Michigan
7 Chattanooga
8 Little Rock
9 Cleveland
10 Kansas City

One of those cities is not like the others. One of them doesn't belong.

Atlanta is still only a tier II shithole compared to those others.

Poughkeepsie and Newburg being listed as safe places is enough to completely discredit this list.

Yeah, that's not really the problem.

Also, the title for the source of that chart is '10 Most Dangerous Cities in the US for 2021'

From the supporting conclusions for that chart:

quote:

For the second year in a row, Anchorage, AK ranks as the most dangerous metro area in America. Here’s why it ranks first:

In Anchorage, your risk of being a victim of a property crime is 1 in 23, based on the latest FBI crime data.

Anchorage is dangerous because someone might steal your catalytic convertor for meth while you're sleeping. The implication and methodology they used is idiotic.

Anchorage was incredibly violent during the "catch and release" days. Those ended a few years ago and homicide dropped.

Amazing what ending "catch and release" can do for a place.

A more accurate representation of the least safe cities:

quote:

The twenty cities with the highest violent crime rates (number of incidents per 100,000 people) are:

St. Louis, MO (2,082)
Detroit, MI (2,057)
Baltimore, MD (2,027)
Memphis, TN (2,003)
Little Rock, AR (1,634)
Milwaukee, WI (1,597)
Rockford, IL (1,588)
Cleveland, OH (1,557)
Stockton, CA (1,415)
Albuquerque, NM (1,369)
Springfield, MO (1,339)
Indianapolis, IN (1,334)
Oakland, CA (1,299)
San Bernardino, CA (1,291)
Anchorage, AK (1,203)
Nashville, TN (1,138)
Lansing, MI (1,136)
New Orleans, LA (1,121)
Minneapolis, MN (1,101)
Chicago, IL (1,099)

OP should've subbed in Detroit for Atlanta, but solid list of places not to live.
