When was the last time they have done anything like this?

We have had over 20 state of emergencies since 9/11 and Scruffy can’t recall anything like this.

I never recall being threatened with fines or jail time if I go to church or have more than 10 friends over.

Thats just me though.

Only ordinance in Tupelo is no breakfast buffets at Hotels. Everything else is business as usual. You can eat out, go to a bar, and stay out all night. It's up to you and the business owner to make that decision. Mayor said we are open for business.

politicians are doing what they think will get them reelected.
close down everything
pay everyone

and the common refrain will be, imagine how many of you would have died if we hadn't done this or that

and the media plays right into it

we survived the Spanish flu , we'd survive this

Food troughs. Don’t trust the sneeze shield to perform heroically.

Resturant buffets are good to go and open for business.

I guess we don't want any out of towners at the hotel touching and breathing on the free bagels and toast

Here’s the thing, as much as Government officials would love nothing more than to trust that people will do the right thing and listen to the public pleas for social isolation that just isn’t going to happen.

There has to be a consequence for an action in order for anyone to take it seriously.

Curfews aren’t fun. Enforcing them aren’t fun. No one wants any of this. But they may be necessary to limit the spread of this pandemic.

Imagine the most immature, reckless, selfish, a-hole that doesn’t listen to reason. Now give him alcohol, narcotics, and a vehicle. Now multiply him by 20. That’s the guy the curfew is designed for.

How's someone spreading it at night when everything is closed?
