You are dead wrong here. Studies show metabolism slows down 5% or less, people just move less and eat worse as they age.

So I'm dead wrong when I say that metabolism seems to slows down and you prove that by saying "studies" (link? ) it slows down? OK.

people just move less

Which I stated or at least strongly implied in my OP, I believe. The lessening of movement results in a decrease of muscle mass. Decreases in muscle mass directly impact basal metabolic rate. Which was a part of my total statement and why I suggest Pecker is slightly of base. Mostly related to the difficulty of reversing trends and habits we have developed as younger folks.

quote:

eat worse as they age.

Based solely on anecdotal evidence of my own experience, this is not true. Studies showing that are likely to be correct in general are believable.

Yeah frick all the science,

So saying that he was mostly right but a little simplistic is in opposition to science how, exactly?

My response never claimed to be the result of scientific studies but rather my own experiences in which I encourage people to develop good habits early, rather than having to do so in your late 40's or 50's.

I'm 27 and still match with 18 and 19 year olds on tinder on the reg.

They're nice to look at and all but once they open their mouths and start talking they're hard to be around for too long. When's the last time you had a conversation with an 18 yr old? Not worth the trouble for more than a night IMO
