You've been married for 20+ years, and your wife doesn't know that you don't wear cologne? Yet, she keeps buying you cologne? How is that even possible?

I don't wear it that much either. Usually when I dress up. Never to work.

Women have some kind of orgasmic reaction to things that smell good. They go ape shite over candles.

I have some really expensive bottles of cologne that family members have given me that have lasted years. Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever gone through a bottle of cologne.

My girlfriend recently found a cheap bottle of cologne she game me for Christmas that is pretty much 100% full & she tried giving me shite about it.

Cologne doesn't make you not stink if you stink.

Cologne makes someone who doesn't smell like anything smell good if you're in very close proximity to them. That's what it does for me, and I expect that is the correct use.

These people talking about "I wear deodorant" and "sometimes I sweat too much so I'll wear it" baffle me.

Everyday. And I have two subgroups of cologne. One for regular, everyday things like going to work, and another for special more formal events.

I also keep a bottle of Raw Power body spray in my truck for when the humidity of a Louisiana summer sets in and I need a quick touch up with something to knock the sweat smell out of my clothes if I'm outside a good bit that day. Hate on haters.

Who among you wear cologne to work on a regular basis?

I wear cologne every day, except for casual attire or working out. I know people will say "I haven't since middle school!!", but I don't wear super smelly Axe-like stuff. Just something nice and clean, maybe a little spicy smelling. It helps pull together the professional look and feel (smell?).

Nah, maybe she just loves the smell and wants her man to smell like that, too.

Or is it that she has some fantasy notion of what her husband should be like, and in her fantasy, her husband is a gorgeous model who wears cologne and sails a yacht every day?

Well, this escalated quickly. Yeah, it's probably this.

I wear it every once in a while. The only person I know who wears it daily is this guy around the corner who never bathes. Never ever bathes.

But he buys $100 bottles of cologne.

Is there a worst smell than a smoker trying to cover their cigarette reek with cologne?

I'm not sure how I'd know if another person wears it daily. I know one of my firm's partners does, but that's just because I do work for him so we're in meetings and whatnot.

Otherwise, the only time I really ever notice is if I'm in an elevator or a similar situation. I wear it daily, and I only hear feedback on it from my GF, my mom, a girl leaning in to tell me something, or someone up against me in an elevator. Unless someone just douses themselves, I don't notice it.

A pot smoker trying to cover up the pot smell with cigarettes and spearmint gum.
