Ibuprofin is great for hangovers, and yet apparently awful for you to take after you've been drinking.
It is truly a paradox.

I avoid all due to potential kidney issues.
It is my understanding that Aleve (or generic equivalent) is better for soft tissue inflammation issues.
Ibuprofen is the remedy for headaches, fever-related stuff.
I don't get sick much, except my dance floor and bedroom moves.

I thought it was Tylenol that you weren't supposed to take while drinking?

I used to take 600 mg of Ibuprofen on average, 2 to 3 times a day. It was for my wrist that I fricked up when busting my arse once. Worked like a charm. Then over time, I started getting bad migraines when I stopped taking it like that.
Finally after almost a year of always having migraines, I went to the doctor. Told him how much Advil I take a day. He damn near came out of his seat.
You can actually become addicted to Ibuprofen and will get migraines when your body is telling you it wants Ibuprofen in it. It took me about 2 weeks of taking some other stuff he prescribed me for the headaches, to finally detox it out of my system.
Be very careful taking that much every day.

I take ibprofen OR aleve rx strengh doses for muscle aches when I over exert (moving this past weekend for example)
Not very often. I have a plate and screws in my clavicle and sometimes if I lift too much or bend my shoulder the wrong way it will cause a good bit of pain and T'll take aleve for that. Got off the narcotics about a year ago now.

800 mg of ibuprofen every morning.....non-name brand since they're all the same
Might want to get a liver function test.

Aleve maybe once every month or two if I had too much fun and my head hurts.
Regular aches and pains are just part of exercising hard at times. Those, I just let ride.

A couple times a year if/when my knee flares up. I go with 800mg vitamin M, since that's what the Air Force gives me. It does the trick.

I take 800mg ibuprofen as needed. In fact, it is always on my person. I suffer from terrible sinus problems and sometimes headaches come on quickly. Also, very susceptible to tendinitis and ibuprofen helps with inflammation.
