How much was tuition when you were in college?

I was a commuter my first semester at SLU, and I vividly remember my full time student tuition was $444. I think it was up to a little over $1000 when I graduated.

First fee bill at LSU in 1986 was under $1,000 - and that included dorm and meal plan.

$281 / semester my first year at LSU in 1981. Prices went up in subsequent years because of state budget cuts.

I had tops but I still had to sign the fee bill - I think it was about $1200 then and I don’t remember room & board bc all my stuff was covered. I had the book stipend and was in the band so I got money back at the end of the semester. I started off at Nicholls and finished at UNO - UNO was more expensive but I don’t remember how much and I didn’t live in the dorm there.

It was about $1000-1200 per semester in 1996. It was close to 2k when I finished.

Pretty sure most students couldn't tell you. They just watch their student loan increase each semester.

My first semester was in 1960 - tuition was $25, but with the fee exemption your local legislator gave you, it was exactly -0-.
