If were you, I'd be more worried about her future because you are her parent.

Seriously though, you have a right to be worried about her future besides the damage you've already done with your obvious mental limitations. Your biggest concern should honestly be the very computer you typed this drivel on. By the time she really learns to use it, she'll be so much better at it than you that you'll never ever have a handle on it.

You should probably just move and become a Quaker or something...

Blaming ESPN for kids being raped in bathrooms makes about as much sense as the Westboro Baptists blaming the deaths of US soldiers and Katrina on the fact we have gay marriage in the US

Very well, I wrote a hyperbolic post in response to a seemingly ridiculous post on the OT. I'm hardly offended if you think Bruce Jenner and ESPN should even be a blip on a father's radar in the face of so many other things to worry about.

eta: Also, if you are going to call someone an idiot, then you probably try and say why. I've come to realize that most people don't understand the difference between dumb and ignorant and a conversation would help us distinguish who is who.

I never said anything close to this! I said that I believe ESPN used their platform (which is their right) to advance an agenda. I feel like ESPN did their part in trying to make this agenda more acceptable to the general public.
A point of that agenda isn't just equal treatment. Recently there has been a point of including bathroom choice as part of equal treatment.
I feel like any male pervert who wants to wander into a women's rest room now has the ability to do that. That makes things less safe. It has happened many times already.

Those things are different.

I was joking a bit earlier but you are saying that men in women's' bathrooms' have now become a problem because they can say they are transgender? I understand your worry but I really think you need to pay more attention to the known threats she'll face and less to obscure maybes.

Much to our dismay, my wife cannot have children but we have plenty means and love for us to consider foster care/ adoption. This is exactly why I've given so much thought, worry, and strong opinion about raising one...

so the new law doesn't change the fact that if some sick frick wants to molest a child they're gonna find a way to do it

This is the correct answer.

A sicko isn't going to stay away from kids just because there's a restroom law. No, they'll do what pedophiles have always done - be an adult volunteer for some group that has lots of kids in it.

but its so much easier to fear and hate things we don't understand rather to take the time and try to understand them

the state is looking to push through a statewide law mandating you can only occupy the bathroom of your birth sex

I don't care where you stand on the issue, but THIS is a bad idea. Would North Carolina seriously make this person use the men's bathroom??
