Like pretty much any accent I love. Even if it’s an awful accent, I still find it hot. Accents tell a story. It’s sad that we’re losing accents due to over exposure to media on tv and the internet.

I kinda find a Southern girl accent attractive sometimes.. but i’ve never been the type to get turned on by a British or Australian, or even Spanish accent.. i know a lot of people are into that, but it just doesnt do it for me.. thank goodness we all like different things.

Dated a girl from South Africa in college. She was about a 6 but the accent definitely did something for me.

Can you please explain your theory that we’re losing accents due to media exposure? I feel like laughing

The only ‘foreign’ girls i’ve ever dated were from the Czech Republic (two of them) and even though i’m typically not into accents, the first girl sometimes got me going when she’d say “You so BAD, Meester Chill” (you have to imagine it in the accent of Shannon Elizabeth in American Pie).. that definitely didn’t suck.

Will regional dialects in the U.S. ever disappear? Our perception of that is changing. The conventional wisdom used to be that local regional dialects were vital and persistent, because to be influenced by somebody you had to talk to them, and you’d talk a lot more to people who lived in the same region. People in Boston talked more to other people in Boston than they did to people in New York or Philadelphia, so they had a Boston accent. But most of North America was r-pronouncing—they said “car” and “hair” instead of “cah” and “haih”— and now Boston and New York have become mostly r-pronouncing. They’ve lost this distinctive local characteristic and assimilated to the mass majority of the country, and that’s happening to regional characteristics in a lot of places. On some level, English appears to be getting homogenized.

Some people from Central had a little bit of a redneck accent. I'm from there if you are referring to the BR suburb

If they speak my language well, I like accents. But if they aren’t fluent, it’s a turn off no matter the what it sounds like.
