How much more will you pay for 'made in USA'?

I'm trying to come up with a standard rule for myself.
If the Chinese item is $1 and the US-made item is $3, I will easily buy the US item.
But at what point should this end?
If a reasonable quality Chinese product is $500 and the US-made competitor is $750, is it worth it to spend the extra? Does it make much of an impact?
I recently bought (online) a couple of American made shirts from a PA company called 'Collared Greens'. They're nice shirts and have a fit which is a good bit more tailored than typical mass-produced shirts. However, they are around $90 each, and my subconscious budget is closer to $50. I thought I would feel great about the purchase when the shirts arrived, but the quality wasn't appreciably better than any dress shirt you could buy at Macy's. In some ways, the quality is worse with a few threads poking out of the buttons and seams.
What say you fine lads and lassies?

So you paid more for a worse quality just because it was made in the USA?
Makes sense

I will pay more for a quality product that will last longer than a cheaper version. Doesn't matter where it's made.

I buy up to $300-$400 more (or a couple thousand if its John Deere---assuming it's still USA made). I understand it's more but I like supporting products genuinely made in the USA.

The only thing I care enough in general to buy America is Seafood

If the quality is the same, I'll go lower price because I'm not dumb.

Agreed...but sometimes US seafood isn't even an option in Tennessee.

I will pay 50% more on lower priced items and 10% more on items over $200 or so dollars. -Of course assuming the items are similar in quality. Will pay double if the US made item is of significantly higher quality...
