How much does your son challenge you?

Is your son a well behaved child or is he always pushing boundaries and trying to challenge your authority?

My son is stubborn like his mother. It's frustrating. Yeah he challenges me. He's 5 so I don't wind up all the way on the uppercut.

I raised both of my sons to love and respect their parents, so...
ETA: They are both in college and doing exceptionally well.

Oldest son has always pushed boundaries and been challenging, although he is well behaved for the most part and has started pushing boundaries much less often. Youngest son hardly pushes boundaries or challenges authority at all.

for the most part well behaved but def have seen as he's grown older that he tests me some and seeing what he can get away with. As all kids do.
I just show him the knuckles and he pipes down real quick.

Don't have a son, but I am a son.
I pushed every boundary imaginable. Almost to the point where pops washed his hands of me, and came to terms with the fact that I'd just have to learn it all the hard way.
It worked. He's the freakin man.

Probably a different answer from me vs. my wife.
Me - a well behaved child
Her - he is always pushing boundaries and trying to challenge her authority
Same would go for our 12 year old terrier

He's 4 and gets excited when he's on "green" at the end of the school day. He will get upset when I say no but he complies. I'm the more lenient parent

My boy is 4.
His punches are useless against me.
Dude tries hard though.

we did buy sockem boppers and both threw some good punches. I accidentally connected pretty good once on him with an upper cut. Lifted him off his feet lol

10 year old, not a lot. very typical first born.
7 year old a good bit. he's a very free spirited child. i don't want to break him of that, but i do also know that he does need the fear of God to keep himself in line. i'm a little more heavy handed with him because he'll take every inch he can get.
the most frustrating thing is that there many days where i could honest to God choke the kid out and not think twice about it. Every babysitter, teacher, or church worker that keeps him says that he is the sweetest, best rule follower evar.

He's well behaved but as he approaches his teenage years he's begun to push boundaries which is encouraging.. he doesn't like to get in trouble but at the same time I want him to get outside his comfort zone at times.. I don't want him smocking heroin but don't want a pure conformist that doesn't think for himself

Good ol' days. Probably seen as too violent in this sissy society we live in today.

4 year old is mostly well behaved, but does like to push his boundaries. More with mommy than with daddy. I'm usually very patient, but he knows to stop before I gets mad.
2 year old is 2. When he's not 2, he's an angel. When he's 2 he's a nightmare. Like most 2 year olds.

6 year old son is occasionally disrespectful, and stubborn af.
4 year old son is the sweetest kid. The difference in the two of them is absurd.
