When skynet becomes active it's going to be going after it's users first.

Suckers.

I hope so. I hope it's clean and fast. I don't feel like living in some dystopian society where I have to stand guard 24/7 against marauders looking to steal what little I have. No thanks. I'll let all you young people play Mad Max.

The other thing that folks have to watch out for is when the main knowledge feeding AI isn't human generated but AI generated because humans be lazy like some fricks in this thread

Apologies for the earlier confusion. Let's recalculate the time and date 34 hours and 20 minutes from now in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Glad you saw it and I wasn't just being trolled by ai. I went ahead and got the 19.99 version of gpt to try it. Thanks for the settings. I did my questions but have to figure out a lot of those other settings. Without researching so much, is there a way that my voice asking is met with their voice? Meaning if I type it will send just text, but if I ask, then it will respond via voice? Also is there a prompt that I can add to my phone like "hey Siri" to name it and just ask without having the app open?

There isn’t a Siri like wake word, you have to keep the app open. With the app open you can put it in voice mode and talk to it like a person and it will converse back with you. The conversation will stay live until you end it. It works really well and is 1000 times better than Siri.

When I was walking the dogs this evening, I put it in chat mode and had a conversation with it the entire time. It will just sit there and wait for you to say something or ask a question.

Ai Generated "Pro and Con". Interesting....

Here’s a breakdown of the advantages and disadvantages of ChatGPT, Copilot, and Grok:

ChatGPT
Advantages:

Versatile and adaptable for a wide range of tasks, from creative writing to answering complex questions.

Regular updates and features like “Custom GPTs” enhance its usability.

Excels in conversational AI and general-purpose research.

Disadvantages:

May lack depth in specialized fields compared to tools designed for specific tasks.

Subscription plans can limit access to advanced features.

Copilot
Advantages:

Tailored for developers, offering intelligent code suggestions and debugging assistance.

Seamlessly integrates with IDEs like Visual Studio Code, streamlining workflows.

Highly specialized for programming tasks.

Disadvantages:

Limited to coding and development-related tasks, making it less versatile for general use.

Requires familiarity with coding environments to maximize its potential.

Grok
Advantages:

Provides real-time data retrieval and reasoning, making it ideal for up-to-date insights.

Integrated with the X platform (formerly Twitter), offering personalized insights.

Strong reasoning capabilities and clarity in responses.

Disadvantages:

May not suit formal or professional settings due to its tone.

Integration with X limits its accessibility for users outside that ecosystem.

Choosing the best tool comes down to evaluating your needs and priorities. Here's a simple guide to help:

Identify Your Goal:

Are you researching general topics? ChatGPT's versatility might suit you best.

Need coding help? Copilot is the top pick for developers.

Want real-time insights or reasoning? Grok could be your match.

Assess Your Work Environment:

If you're working in an Integrated Development Environment (IDE), Copilot will integrate smoothly.

If you're active on the X platform (formerly Twitter) and need timely data, Grok is the way to go.

For broader or conversational tasks, ChatGPT provides flexibility in any setting.

Consider Ease of Use:

Copilot requires familiarity with coding.

Grok demands familiarity with the X platform.

ChatGPT is user-friendly and adaptable for most tasks.

Evaluate Specific Features:

If you're looking for creative writing, in-depth responses, or brainstorming, ChatGPT excels.

Copilot's precise code suggestions can be invaluable for programming.

Grok’s real-time reasoning stands out if up-to-date data is your priority.

Each tool shines in its niche, so the best choice depends on your specific needs. Let me know if you'd like to explore one of these further!

You can give it recordings and it can give you a transcript?

There's an app called "Ollie" that will record and transcribe for you. You will have to read and edit the transcript for perfection.

I used Grok to prep a vacation itinerary. It worked great but as the vacation got more complex it made a lot of mistakes. Bad stuff that I was surprised it couldn’t keep straight.

Paid version too so I’ll probably check out Gemini and Chat GPT.

If I knew more about how to use it or what to ask to get the information that would be helpful, I’d be inclined to pay for it.
Do you just start using it and treating it as your aide for everything and it picks up on what needs to be said or how to say it?

You can use ChatGPT for so many times then you have to pay. I think I pay $20 a month. If I can figure it out anyone can figure it out. You just have to get on and start playing around. You can also google "things to ask ChatGPT" and you will learn more about its capabilities.

I put in details of a house and asked it to draw me house plans. Then it asked me if I wanted it in a different design. Its so much better than what it was two years ago.

My mom was having some problems that kept getting worse, it started in January 2024 and slowly kept getting worse. In May she went to her PD and they sent her to a specialist and the earliest appointment she could get was in July 2024. I put, in detail, everything she was experiencing and it gave me a diagnosis. I didn't share it with her because I didn't know how accurate it was, but it didn't give me a list of things it could be, it was specific...

She had to do a bunch of test and after they eliminated everything they tested her for, there was only one thing it could have been. She was then sent to another specialist who confirmed that diagnosis, which was what ChatGPT gave me.

Its ability is pretty amazing.

Are there privacy concerns or measures to take when setting it up? Like register or whatever using an anonymous email, etc.? Or is it kinda futile to try?
