It's the reason I only read/watch things pertaining to sports, movies, and video games.
I know there are a good amount of shitty people out there. I'd rather not affect my daily mood by subjecting myself to the terrible things they do.

Honestly the world is as good or better of a place to live than it's every been. All those people are terrible, but you're pointing out a different problem. It's that the only ways for companies to profit is to continue to sell us bullshite any chance they can get. In this case they have to put these sensationalist articles to keep people reading their news vs the competitors. It's a race to the bottom.
