Though you have a point about our perception of people and the reality. Trust requires faith in the one you trust. Sometimes people have a sort of blind faith in the person they commit to, despite evidence to the contrary.

Studies in promiscuity tend to show the case is that a small number of women have by far the greatest share of partners.

Its part of the reason why we have the female slut sterotype-- its an arse-backwards expression of something that people can feel is somewhat true, very poorly expressed.

Its not to say that cheating is as common as perceived among all groups, either- people tend to do the right thing, even when they believe others are not doing so.

Still, if you pick a cheating woman, the numbers argue she's less likely to ever stick to one dick than any man who has dipped his wick about unfaithfully.
