My dad's were, and we also spread down the baselines at the old Alex Box.
This was back in 2000, so I don't know if they still allow it. I do know that we had to get special permission from the Athletic department, obviously, because we were given access to the fields.

LSU will not let you do it and as many have pointed out already, it will be removed. If it was somehow unnoticed, the field has been frequently replaced and your relative will end up somewhere far away.
Health, safety, sanitation, many reasons why it's not allowed
No one wants to roll around in pappy's ashes.
And if it were allowed, LSU would be inundated with request

Somebody’s ashes are much heavier than you might imagine. My BIL was cremated and we had his until we spread them.
There are baseball teams that allow season ticket owners to do it, but it’s not very often.
Somebody did it after the Kick 6 at Auburn.

Well, I know for a fact that we were on the field with an official, running the bases, sprinkling them.
This was 25 years ago,so maybe it changed or maybe someone called in a favor, I don't know, I was only 16. But I do know that it happened, and I know we didn't sneak in, because my mother would never.
And I don't care if he got vacuumed up, it's symbolic and also it's dust, so it's not like it wouldn't just blow away anyway

exactly. Some people obviously don't get the point of it is the symbolism of doing it.

Gardeners in charge of a rose garden in North Carolina were surprised to see a massive 'mildew' bloom on three of their rose beds in full bloom. They sent samples to the state ag department to find out what disease had broken out.
Two days later an elderly person came by and explained to the gardeners that they were saying a last goodby to their spouses ashes that they had spread there several days before.

Immediately after the family left I watched an LSU employee bring a handheld vacuum to the spot and vacuum up the ashes.

This could be an exceptional money make for the Athletic Dept or TAF.
