I always look for balance. 50/50 votes, if it has more up votes than down, I'll downvote and vice versa. If it's perfectly split I won't vote.

I generally only up/down vote if I really like something or think something is very, very stupid. But, I have a bit of a compulsion that if someone is one vote short of a nice round number, I only have to like/dislike it a little bit
