I personally knew tow people who have died.

Know closely--like see, communicate weekly: Two that I can think of offhand.
More remotely, probably around 20 folks at last count. 6 of those from the church we attend, with various ones of other extended church families also getting sick, going on ventilators, dying.
Doctor friend of mine in overall good health, recently retired around age 70 died early in this madness from Covid. Also, had a buddy who beat Covid--went through intensive care and everything. A few months later he's getting back to physical activity and runs a half marathon. He keeled over that night from heart problems attributed to Covid.
But, yeah, I'm probably in the low 20s of folks I knew in some capacity who've died from it (and a host of other complications, problems, etc).

One of my best friends passed today. He was 34.
