You say you technically live in a flood zone, have you ever come close to flooding in that 15 years? If not, drop the flood insurance, but if I were you I would keep the homeowners insurance. It would suck to have to pay for damage out of your own pocket if anything were to happen. That is just my opinion.

Alcoholism is a real problem that people don’t take serious and ultimately breaks up families and ruins lives. Typically the alcoholic doesn’t “think” they have a problem, and continues to spiral downward. In my opinion and experience, this individual has hit rock bottom, but unfortunately it will drive him to drink more and ultimately will lose his life due to this disease. He could still reach out, get help, and turn his life around... but again, that hasn’t happened a whole lot in my experience. I see these individuals drinking themselves LITERALLY to death. Super sad
