Why can't my SO have the same opinion on sunglasses?

Far from it. She begged me to bring them back many times. But she always makes a really big deal out of my birthday, and I never reciprocate. So I wanted to be the good boyfriend on this one.
If it hadn't been sunglasses, I would have spent the money on something else she wanted. It just happened to be sunglasses.

I loved my titanium gray/black Mauis until I got these ambers that I bought after doing a blind test in the parking lot of the store, I had the clerk hand me glasses, and I picked the one I liked best. The Costa ambers won. I hardly wear anything else since. They cut the glare but let you see well even in cloudy conditions.
