I own a house in 2 of the top 7 cities in the US to live...

I get the idea but I’ve never seen heard of anyone doing that. I’m not saying it doesn’t happen but that’s extreme. I understand a camp though.

Needed an office for work, so I rented an entire floor of a building over on Jefferson for a few years. Told the SO I only had the front office and that my "neighbors" were assholes who smoked cigars and listed to loud music. Locked perimeter door, security cameras out the arse, secret back door. Me and the guys would hang out in the back "offices" for poker, weed, etc. I'm sure a hooker or two may have been brought through there--although not by this cowboy (hi honey). Place was kind of run down, but it was approx 1800 sq ft with free utilities for like $300 a month. Good times.

CSB on topic. I worked in Tax and Appraisal Software in Texas 99-01. The CADS in Texas were on the ball with providing online access to property assessments and tax rolls, searchable by name, address, etc.

When Louisiana first came on board with this a few years later it was set up the same way.

But QUICKLY some lawmakers got something(injunction maybe) that removed the ability to see property owners names with property on the La Assessors site.

The reason??? Your OP is dead-on and this made a LOT of men in Louisiana shite their pants.

About 2 years later they suddenly went transparent again and went to what you see now, fully searchable database with taxpayer name information.
They bought themselves time to get their shady shite hidden under LLCs and what not.
Hell I downloaded the entire Tax Roll a few weeks ago and Put it into a SQL Server DB for my personal stalky fun.

Anyhoots. TLDR Louisiana Lawmakers didn't want property owners names available on the EBR Assessors website(and subsequent parishes).
