I have one grandmother left, and I hope like hell that she outlives me, cuz that day is gonna suck when she doesn't.

Both of my grandmothers died in the last 4 years. One was 97 and I was 40 when she passed. The other was 95 and I was 43.
My maternal grandfather died when I was 5. My paternal grandfather died when my dad was 12 in 1954.

I'm 29 and have three living grandparents. Both maternal grandparents (82 and 78) and my paternal grandmother (84) are alive, and I actually had all four grandparents until my paternal grandfather died when I was a junior in high school. I was and am very lucky.
Also, I had four living great-grandparents until I was about 7.

Both paternal grandparents alive at 89
matrenal grandmother alive at 87
both grandmothers have lost their minds
grandfather who is a war vet WWII and Korea, drank (a lot), smoked 3 packs a day and was in merchant marine and then worked in an aluminum plant is fairly healthy (all things considered).
He has broken his neck three times, beat bladder, prostate, and colon cancer, and non hodgkins lymphoma; has mesotheleoma and goes to dyalisis.
