Every Saturday morning for 3-4 hours before the kids get going. Small business isn’t all that fun sometimes

It's not uncommon for me to put in a few hours of work (up to five or so) over the course of a weekend. Sometimes more, sometimes less/none. Just depends what's going on and what kind of mood I'm in.

24 on 48 off. I’ll work tomorrow, Wednesday, and Saturday this next week. So basically I work every 3rd Friday, Saturday, and Sunday

As far as windshields (side job) I’ll do repairs on Saturday but not replacements

Or, what you call a shitty life might be dreading work so much that you are desperate NOT to work on the weekends. Which could imply, for some, that working Monday through Friday are miserable. I never bought into this living for the weekend mentality. Who wants to be really happy for two of the seven days a week? I suck it up on the weekends because it really isn't all that bad Mon-Fri

In 2018 I took a full 50% cut in pay to keep from working long days and Saturdays and Sundays.

I do not regret it in the slightest.

In 2019 I had a brother who was only 9 years older than me pass away.

The older I get. The more valuable my time becomes. By valuable I do not mean in monetary terms.

It's a shitty life if you view it through the perspective of an 18 year old. When you grow up and realize that the quality of your life has pretty much doubled because of your salary, then you get over that mindset real quick. And you learn to make adjustments in your schedule and your freetime.

About half the weekends in any given year. makes it hard to schedule a trip to Tiger Stadium.
