Kind of ironic over 50 years ago for about 6 months we lived next door to Farrah's dentist. We were at his house for a bbq when he mentioned her. And one thing he said still stands out to me. He said at the she had he whitest teeth he'd ever come across.

Its insane. Apparently, and I am not an expert but I have done extensive research over the years, porn is "empowering" for women. How that works I ain't sure but in the right setting it is certainly capable of empowering me in ways one shouldn't discuss in public....

On the other hand what everyone, women and girls included, thought was funny, over the top "boys being boys" movie fare in the 70's and 80's are today held forth of examples of the patriarchal nature of society where men could do anything and women had to submit to it. There is a small, minuscule grain of truth to that, men certainly did, and do, some reprehensible shite. The problem, as I see it, and again I ain't no expert, is that when my girlfriend and I watched that dude stick his pecker through the hole in the wall in Porky's we both laughed hysterically. I was a junior in high school and so was she. Both 16 years old. Both sexually active if obviously immature as 16 year olds were and are. At the time I was of the opinion that women were smart enough and mature enough to know what they enjoyed in the way of comedy first and sex also. Apparently that is no longer the case..other people are in charge of what women can find funny. Who knew?

That girl, by the way, was no wall flower. She grew up hard in a fricked up situation and was street wise beyond her years. I am pretty certain she was MORE than capable, based on life experience, to determine what she found funny without any input from me....as if I had ANY influence over her....and for damn sure don't need a bunch of frickers born in 2000 telling he she suffered from sort of abuse because she found that silliness funny. She found it funny because it was fricking funny, end of story.

My wife and I have watched Porky's and similar movies from the era. She is no wall flower either...she has almost 90 highly skilled professionals reporting directly to her in a pressure packed profession...she is fricking brilliant. She laughs at Porky's to this day. Ain't nobody told her she is supposed to roll up in a fetal position over it because, quiet frankly, she would tell that person in no uncertain terms they were out of their fricking minds. She's mean like that. Of course that just proves she is damaged from years of patriarchal abuse I am sure.

And, and this is the bigger thing. Porky's was not set in the 1980s so I can't speak to the era the movie was set in...but I can speak for the 1980s. Had we found a hole through the wall like that we would have damn sure peaked. I know, that is disgusting and wrong and reprehensible and we ought to be hung by the neck...but we'd have done it. What we wouldn't have done, and if some idiot had done, is stuck their pecker through that hole...because it would have caused a shite storm, not to mention most of us were almost struck blind with the specter of being naked in front of boys our own age in the showers....let alone a room full of girls. The point being it wouldn't have happened, at least in my experience....thats why it was funny, it was unthinkable in 1982. Yes, we would have looked....I suspect had the hole peered into our shower the girls would have looked...but no one was poking their damned pecker through a hole in the wall....hell most of us, had we been so inclined, wouldn't have cleared the 1/2 inch drywall, grout and tile....and we damn sure wouldn't have for long once the laughter started from the other side.

Bottom line Porky's is funny, it humiliates men as much as it does objectify women.

This will be controversial, but she was at worst in her prime, on par with Shania looks wise and I will argue she was better looking. She was yummy.

And she's aged a hell of a lot better than Shania. She still looks great at 54
