Branches down on the roof and took the cap off the chimney. No power. Branches down all across the yard. Streets got water but it’s draining.

Ah! Gotcha!

My brain is about fried at this point. I'm exhausted. I'm stressed. I had 4 beers. My car was nearly devastated by a tree... I'm about done.

About 12” of water over the road on the 2nd block of Lamarque from the lake. I have a yardstick tied to my mailbox to keep an eye on it. That’s about 6-6.5’ of surge based on my observations of the mailbox stick over the past few storms.

Yeah, he’s in Eden Isles.

I’m pretty shocked it’s that low right now. I’m hoping it doesn’t continue to stack as the western lake drains and the southern winds blows all freaking night and morning.

Looking at the wind forecast bogalusa has gotten as bad as it’s going to. East side of town has power. West side it out. Guess which one I’m on.

Looks like the heavy rain is finally clearing the southshore. Any estimates when it starts clearing the Mandeville Covington area? 2 hours?

The worst flooding is still to come for the Slidell area. With a storm going this direction, the southwest area around Laplace floods first. Then as the wind changes it goes in a clockwise direction to Tangi/West St Tammany, then to East St Tammany.

I'm not wishing anything your way, but I hope the winds change soon. It looks like this will surpass Isaac, which had some of the worst flooding anyone can remember in Madisonville
