I did about a year ago. I have DirecTV Now, along with an antenna for the local channels that I don't have on DirecTV Now. I got in early, so I pay $35 a month for 100+ channels including HBO.

The only thing that is annoying is that I don't have Fox Sports New Orleans, for some reason I have Fox Sports Southwest, so I can't catch Pelican games. I have my friend's Sling TV password for that.

online stream and cast to the tv. its not perfect quality but if its a game i really wanna watch in HD ill just walk down to the bar.

i could use my dads password, im guessing, but never really cared much to ask for it

sling tv sucks arse. it is cheaper but cheaper for a reason. it buffers like crazy, crappy UI or it just freezes on you

I've had SlingTV for a few years and the only problems I had were early on when it first came out. I never have buffering problems but I also have 200mb internet. The UI has been updated several times and I prefer it over PS Vue's. The only downside is the single simultaneous stream.

WatchESPN I presume?

one thing i noticed, at least last year, is that a lot of LSU games seemed to be broadcast only on ESPN networks - so that does suck for a cord cutter

but if youre team gets played on the OTA channels (abc, nbc, cbs) its much easier.

i watch notre dame and ohio state, primarily, and nearly all their games are on nbc/abc.

I did before... But I got cable again..

Just much easier and much more bang for your buck.

And the costs for multiple subscriptions and a decent internet connection adds up to almost what basic cable subscription.... Without anytime, anywhere streaming.
And if the home internet goes down so does your sling, Netflix etc..but not cable.

And to add, you also don't get the benefit of free public WiFi/hotspot access as a cable subbie

Im strongly considering this, but a friend of mine says that on live sporting events there is usually a 20-30 second delay from actual real time. He said he something big happens he gets a text or tweet before he gets to see it on his TV.

I have PlayStation Vue and found that when I watched Pelicans games through PS Vue I was a few possessions behind in the game threads. When I watched the game through the Fox Sports GO app instead I was able to keep pace with the game threads here.

I'm not sure how that compares to the delay on streaming vs. cable because a lot of Pelicans Talk posters watch the games online, but going straight to the broadcaster's app did help.

I cut it for about a year and a half.

I was paying $54 for internet, and $35 for PS Vue.

I was able to get Direct TV and Internet locked in for 2 years at $90.

Made sense for me to go back to Direct Tv. If they jerk me around in 2 years I'll cut it again.

This has been discussed ad nauseam and the Tech board has an excellent sticky that has all you will ever need to know about "cutting the cord"

Did it earlier this year and wish I did so sooner.
Ditched Direct TV and added PS Vue and local channels to previous Netflix subscription.

Will be starting YouTube TV in a couple of months when my DirecTv contract expires.

All local channels without need for separate antenna or input, live streaming on 3 devices at the same time, unlimited dvr, all for $35/month

It's not available Nationwide yet, but it's in my area and looks like the best option for me

Youtube TV looks real good, especially for sports channels. Anyone have any experience with it?
