I got the opposite news from LA, they sent me a letter saying they are "reviewing" my return. Fine with me, I stopped being a resident in April so filed a partial resident tax return. Apparently they need my full years worth of money to pay off their $66K mistake.

You would think that SOMEONE would have caught the error before MILLIONS went out AGAIN! I just don't get it

There are very few people working for LDR these days, outside of audits. They are so dependent on the computers. The computers CONSTANTLY make mistakes (or they are programmed incorrectly) that the state is constantly wasting time and money fixing things like this. It's a damn shame.

I got one...I received one deposit a few days ago, then another yesterday for same amount. Today a withdrawal was done by the State.
I hadn't seen the second deposit so I freaked out when I got the notice of the withdrawal, but realized the error when I logged into my account.

The state still owes me from my last year's returns. They never sent them to me. So technically I will be getting a double refund.
