I find that keeping music on as background noise to distract you can be a big help.

Dude. I’m divorced, have approximately $960,000 and weed. Playing Skyrim. I’m pretty relaxed. My ex is living in a trailer with her third husband. Supposedly 3 is the charm.

Watched Fox News for 3 hours this morning. The sky is falling and US is going down in flames. Turned it off and went into to the real world. People were polite, smiling and cordial. I’ll quit watching the news so I can relax in the real world.

I think you mean can you be still, and not do anything. Not thinking about what you are going to do, or day dreaming, or hunting or fishing, or sitting in a sauna, reading, tinkering ,or looking at your phone. Truly exercising control over their consciousness. And most not only don’t but are incapable of being over taken by the thoughts that pop up in their head. It’s a byproduct of consumerism, creating a feverish need to experience everything and harms attention spans . And creating feelings of inadequacy when not productive.

No, not without PEDs you mentioned.

We are far enough from city noises that quiet can happen.

Just being able to sit, watch the trees in a light breeze, a pet to stroke, a spouse somewhere else (no interruptions), slightly sweetened iced tea with mint, Yes, I can relax, but sometimes I have to work to plan it.

The only time I really disconnect from life are times when I am in Tiger stadium or when I am duck hunting. I suppose that’s why I like those two activities so much.

No I don't work 16 hours a day, man. I have children, man.

I said my job is stressful not unmanageable. I also get paid handsomely for what I do.
I have children too, why does having children mean you have zero free time in the evening?

You're not managing something correctly if your only time to yourself is 15 minutes a day right when you wake up.

I can’t remember the last time I was able to fully 100% relax without a care in the world m. Even on my honeymoon (which I was 95% unplugged), I still wasn’t completely relaxed.

Maybe when I take a garden leave one day…

The question was how much time can you totally disconnect apart from kids work etc. Do you not spend time with your children? Help with chores around the house? Homework? Sports? Dinner?

I have practice to attend, homework to help with, dinner to cook amongst other thigs. Then I workout 8-930. Shower and bed. Any more questions?

I have plenty of time to myself. I have little time where I'm not thinking about my job, family, business, and future businesses. All I need is 15 minutes alone in my own thoughts in the morning.

I'd imagine if you don't give a shite about your career, family, or future life you'd have plenty of time alone in your head.

I sometimes can when I'm reading a book for pleasure, or when I zone out during an easy workout such as a long walk or distance run. Otherwise, I really can't. I'm an anxious sonofabitch and it's going to make me die young.
