No aces. Hit one to 4 inches. Several inside 2 feet.

Best shot was 156 yard hole out with a 7 iron. Off of pine straw and thru the trees. Double D and LSUMike were witnesses.

I doubt I'll ever get one but still trying. I've had 2 Dbl Eagles but I think my closest Ace is probably 8-10" away. Burned the cup and pin several times but those always end up feet away.

Never made one, never seen one made, but... In a fourth month stretch, four were made exactly one hole away from the hole I was on:

3 league buddies in the group directly in front of or behind me. And Bubba Watson... I was following Tiger and Freddy on 15 at Augusta in the Wednesday practice round (Adam Scott year), and Bubba made one on 16.

Club - 9 iron

Hole - Number 9 at Lakota Canyon Ranch in Colorado

Yardage - 165

Drinks After - Just my buddy and me on the course. It was in the middle of the week.

It's a difficult hole to stick your ball on the green. It was a perfect shot and the hole placement was in just the right spot that day. Because it was an elevated tee the ball was in the air for what seemed like forever. My buddy and me were talking about the shot before it even hit the green. Landed the shot short and left and the grade of the green trickled it right into the hole.

Magazine write-up on the hole.

quote:

Bogey Beware: The 9th hole at Lakota is a diabolical little hole that can ruin a good front nine score. A large ravine rests right of the hole and the left side of the hole features a hill that kicks balls toward that same ravine. If you miss the green you will almost surely score no better than a bogey and there is a good chance you will have lost a ball in the process.

#6 at Williwdale/Grand Ridge in luling. Twice.

Well to be fair, only one counted.

First time was in high school with my brother and neighbor. Hit a 7 iron in the water, teed back up and aced it for par.

Second time was in college, playing with the same two people. Hit a SW just past the hole, bounced twice then backed up right into the hole. Neighbor was dumbfounded.

How common is hole in one at the high school level?

In my 4 years playing varsity, Im the only one that I can remember. High school golf on the coast in MS is a pretty tight knit group. Everybody knows everybody and we all played against each other.

I was always 1 or 2 man so I played with the other team's best players and never saw another one....

At 14 I had my only Hole in One.

3 Par.165 yards.I had just joined a Older Woman playing by herself 2 holes prior.

I hit a 4 iron.It hit short of the fringe and Bounced into the cup from 25 feet.

Thought I was seeing things.

6 iron. (Downwind)
Playing for 25 years and my only one. Buddy and I were on a family beach trip. The wives had to come pick us up after because of the bar tab. Had a rousing time and the folks at kiva couldn't have been nicer.
