How many of you baws fell for the chocolate diamond scam this Christmas?

From what I'm reading, they're just industrial diamonds that somebody had the bright idea of remarketing. Maybe you can take it out of your wife's setting and attach it to a Dreml and at least get your money's worth.

What are sold as," baby carrots" is what was previously thrown out as waste during processing. One day, someone had the foresight to market them as something new.

Pretty brilliant marketing. They took the shittiest stones that are too small to really be used for industrial uses and too crappy to be made into jewelry and marketed them as a new precious stone to sell at a premium. I'm really impressed by the creativity. That's like someone who finds a way to sell their lawn clippings for a higher price than mulch, sod, or fertilizer.

They are actually pretty nice looking stones in mixed setting with clear diamonds. I've no idea why you'd think otherwise.

I call them "dirt diamonds." Yeah, all about marketing and the sensual way the woman pronounces them "chocolate."
Years ago I received a $450 Montblanc Roller ball ink pen as an award. The literature said it was made of "PRECIOUS RESIN."
My wife asked me what that meant....um plastic.

People have placed bartering value on diamonds, gold, and other such. In today's market someone has successfully gotten the lowest grade diamond available to be worth much more than the logical mind says it should be. A friend of mine that owns a jewelry store admitted to me what most people suspect, the value has increased and they can be a pretty addition to a piece of jewelry. It may be a fad so I'll just stick to high grade diamonds, silver and gold.

It is pretty amazing when you think about it. There are fake diamonds that look and feel the same and yet people spend thousands of times more to use the diamond as the material and in those cases it's only for cosmetic purposes. No utility what so ever.

You have to be quite ignorant to believe that any diamond so full of imperfections that it's actually BROWN could be desirable as jewelry.

Jewelry, or as I call them, Shiny Rocks, is all a scam. Not unlike the corporate manufacturing of Dec 25 as Christmas, to stimulate sales by buying gifts indiscriminantly in the name of religion. Christmas, another universally accepted scam, equal to Shiny Rocks.
