Muffuletta is one of my top favorites. But between all the bread and fatty arse meats on it, I only have some once a year or so. I basically throw any notion of diet out of the window to eat that

I like them warmed and pressed on a flat-top griddle so the outside of the bread is toasted and crispy and the cheese inside begins to melt.
I do not like a cold (room temp) muff.

I love them.
The best way to eat it is a left-over one cold from the fridge that you got hot the night before.
“Why not just order a cold one?” Well, the bread gets crispy on the outside from being toasted, and it stays like that after it’s been put in the fridge. If it was cold to begin with, the bread would be soft.
So a cold muffaletta that was previously toasted is my favorite.

For those that think it's too much bread, try it pressed. I like Anthony's Italian Deli better than Pocorellos. I like Central Grocery olive mix but the wait usually turns me away.

Muffulettas are the bomb if you make it right. Central Grocery baw before you make your final decision. Olive salad is critical and you can buy a jar to take home with you too and use it on all sorts of things. shite is legit there.
