Just saying

PIs can be a lot like marriage. A lot of money can be invested in a short time, and you can still be left quite unsatisfied

Well I will say this. My sister and bro in law states with us a few years back. My sister was always on her phone and even expresses his frustration about it. It was getting late and we were all going to bed and she could not find her phone. She started crying. fricking crying. Had to tell her it would be fine and we could find it in the morning. Nope. Did a complete house search. It was right ther under her bag in the bed. Well, fast forward three years and that bro in law is no longer. I have a new bro in law which is the one that reconnected with her through fb and they started texting which led to an affair.

New bro in law is a a fricking cuck. I guess old bro in law was too thinking about it now

Good luck

This is becoming a larger problem with society. I am concerned about kids that are growing up attached to screens. I teach middle schoolers who are already legit addicted, about 80% girls but some boys too. Technology is too much for many to handle. Good luck getting enough people to admit it. Our sprint towards idiocracy just keeps gaining momentum.

How have cell phones negatively impacted your lives?

Gone from a luxury to something as important as my keys and wallet when I leave the house.

Gone from a simple lines of communication when I’m on the road to something absolutely critical to operating my business as I have to constantly be checking frickin e-mails, phone calls, face time, texts, messenger, social media, using it for taking pictures of job sites, etc, etc, ad nauseam.

Gone from a simple lines of communication with family and friends to something I have to absolutely keep on me in order to keep up with them constantly in phone calls, texts, messenger, social media, etc, and if I don’t respond with the quickness I don’t love them and they aren’t important enough to me.

Gone from something that is a net benefit to a real pain in the arse as it’s constantly in the hands of the people in front of me, and behind me on the road instead of their steering wheel and the road in front of themselves.

Gone from a phone you can take with you to a reason not to talk to other human beings in front of you or while standing/sitting right next to another live human frickin being.

Let me tell you this. I remember business and personal life before this shite, and with this shite, and I could seriously do without it all. Everything worked just fine, and we would return to being just fine if it was gone tomorrow, and with a hell of a lot less stress in our lives to boot. Hell, I remember it before beepers and everything was just fine.

I think it’s gone from a luxury to an invasive little bastard that has controlled every little facet of our lives, and that’s not luxurious to me. That’s a pain in the arse.

gotta go grayscale to curb that phone adddiction. its worked wonders for me.

ETA: assuming Bill's wife isn't poor and can afford an iPhone here is how to greyscale (spelled it both ways - covering all bases).

general settings---->accessibility------>color filters----->greyscale.

scroll to the bottom of accessibility and enable the accessibility shortcut. once you do this triple-clicking the home button toggles back to full color.

That and put all social media in the farthest screen away from the home screen and in a folder like 3 folder pages back.

I told my wife she is addicted to social media. I don’t have it. I abhor it. I’m 4+ years free of it.

Constantly texting her friends. Constantly looking at FB and Instagram (you say some BS like Insta in my house and you’re banished).

I threaten to throw the thing out the window. Who the frick wants to talk to their friends every day? The same two or three friends. I’m married to this woman and there is some days I want to his pause.

yeah my wife is on her phone all the fricking time too. She'll just sit there and just hit the screen over and over to scroll through people's pictures and then cycle through facebook, snapchat, instagram over and over.

She knows to cut that shite out when we go out now. It's been 6-7 years since I deleted my FB and this is pretty much the only "social" site I use. And she would probably say that I'm on here too much, which is true .

I put couldn’t tell you where mine are is for slot of the weekends and weeknights

I’ll check it occasionally when bored. Like today.

My wife does a little facebooking but rarely puts anything online. I do tigerdroppibgs. That’s the extent of our social media.

I go to eat dinner the other night with two other couples. My wife’s phone in her purse. Mine in the truck. The two women we were with took about 12 pictures and rarely quit looking at their phones. It was maddening

When I go somewhere with the wife, I leave mine behind. It's extremely liberating. I'd like to dump it all together, but parenthood.

From 6pm-8pm we put the electronics away and actually engage as a family every day at my house.

Sounds like your issue is she is hooking up with someone else, and is overly protective of her phone.

I thought men loved to bitch about how their wives talked too much and nag too much? Now they are ignoring you and on their phones too much?
